Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing the “P” family at their beach home. What a wonderful family. So kind, welcoming and down to earth. Great sense of humor too. They sort of reminded me of my own family. There were 12 of them present and you could feel the love between them. They were happy to be in each others company. I like that!
It was supposed to be a cloudy day but it didn’t turn out that way. The sun was out in full force, so we decided to head up street to the park and take some photos first. The original plan was to take a shot of the whole family together but unfortunately one member couldn’t make it because she was home sick with the flu (and pregnant). I sure hope she is feeling better!
You may remember these three from previous sessions.

Grandparents and Grandkids.

We then moved to the beach….

P family, I had a great time with all of you on Sunday. I hope you enjoyed your sneak peek!

I have been swamped with holiday sessions, orders and trying to get as much done as possible before Bryan and I leave for Cabo on Monday. The less work I have to do while on vacation the better! I have a some sneak-peeks I to post before I leave and here is the first.
This is such a sweet family. Cristil, is such an amazing mother. She is a facebook friend of mine and she just has such a positive outlook on life even when it is hectic. Lord knows with 6 month twins and a 3 year old, it has got to be hectic! Cristil clearly loves and adores her family and it was a pleasure spending the afternoon photographing all of them.

Cristil & Mike, I hope you enjoyed your sneak-peek!!

This past weekend I did a double session for an friend of mine who I haven’t seen in almost a decade. I think the last time I saw Lisa was when her oldest son was a newborn. Thanks to facebook, we were able to reconnect with each other and I am thrilled about that. I was so happy when Lisa asked me to photograph her beautiful (er, handsome?) family.
I think this would go good on a Christmas card that read Peace on Earth. :)

Lisa & Dave have an awesome 1958 VW Bus and it is the coolest thing ever. I got to ride in it and I felt like a celebrity. So many people just stared or commented as we drove on by. We even took it on the Balboa Ferry a couple times. I love the reflection of the boys and the Balboa Pavillion in the side of the bus.

I decided to try a little vintage processing.

Then we decided to get all crazy and drive the bus up on to the sand for a few shots.

Unfortunately, the bus got stuck. However, that led to a lot of laughs as Lisa & I were behind the bus pushing with all our might while Dave gassed it and spun it around in a big circle. Too bad no one had a camera for that moment. You can see the big circle in the sand in the next photo.

Lisa, Dave and the 3 J’s….I had so much fun with you guys. It was great to see you again! Enjoy your sneak peek!
xo, E!
