I have been working with an Esty store for the past month called TheMonkeyMoos which sells handmade GORGEOUS hair accessories for girls (and women too!).     Did I mention they were GORGEOUS?     A lot of items I have purchased on Esty have been less than perfect (in my honest opinion) but these hair accessories are flawless.   Each petal and leaf is carefully folded, pinched, and assembled to create a posh flower which is topped off with a sparkling Swarovski crystal.    They come in a variety of styles, sizes, and colors.  I can guarantee you will have a really hard time choosing the ones you want.  Go ahead, buy them all.  They are so worth it!!

More NEW Summer and Fall colors coming soon!!

I had a session scheduled for Memorial Day but it ended up being postponed, so I decided that morning to take my boys blueberry picking at Temecula Berry Co. (TBC).   Every year I hear my friends rave about the berry picking at TBC but I never got around to taking my boys.   When I would think about going,  it was off season.

My neighbor Tammy, gets e-mails from TBC and she had forwarded me an e-mail from them with some Memorial Day specials for Military Families.   I figured this was ‘a sign’ and it was our day to go.

I don’t know what I was thinking, but I thought this was going to be a very dirty activity.  Maybe it was the stain-hating Virgo in me but I had visions of mud.  Lots of mud.  So, I got D&G dressed in their play clothes and Crocs and grabbed a couple towels on my way out the door.

We got there at about 9:30 AM and it was beautiful clear day.

This here is Farmer Mike and he showed the boys where the good berries were and which ones to pick….the dark blue ones.

I have to admit, I was pretty clueless about how blueberries grew.   I always visioned them as little bushes low to the ground, like strawberries.   Nope.  They grow on big bushes in clusters like this:

These berries were juicy & DELICIOUS!  I ate a ton.

This is the cute little ‘barn’ house where the owners live.

I had great ideas for this shot but the line for the tractor was too long and there were too many people walking by, so I settled for a snapshot.   I still love it though!

Bucket o’ goodness.

Some of these berries were HUGE.  Blueberries on steroids.

Taking a break.  It started getting pretty warm out.

My boys got a special treat from Farmer Mike.  Cake pops!  Yep, that is basically a cupcake on a stick.   Yummo!

It was a lot of fun and not nearly as dirty as I thought it would be!!  No mud in sight!

We’re looking forward to going again soon.
